Scott Choucino: bold, graphic food photography in London
When a food brand needs an image that stops people scrolling and still holds up on a billboard, Scott Choucino is one of the first names we think of. He's one of the photographers we represent at Agent-At-Large, and he's been shooting commercial food and drink in London for 15 years.
A graphic eye
Scott's style is bold and graphic: strong colour, clean shapes and pictures you can read in a second. He'd rather an image had a point of view than sat quietly in the background. It suits food that has to stand out on a crowded shelf, a busy website or a social feed.
Work that scales
Recent jobs show the range. For Cathedral City he shot macro cheese photography for a national billboard campaign, which needed to be sharp and considered enough to work at that size. For Kenvue he shot a global rebrand across household names including Calpol, Listerine and Neutrogena, produced with us, ARWEC and stylist Ambra. And for Wafflemeister he built a full production around colour, texture and food styling, with food stylist Christina Murray, retoucher Robert Gurney and prop stylist Karen White. Over the years his clients have also included Dolmio, Doritos, Uncle Ben's, Iceland and Ocado, and his work has ranged from a start-up's first shoot to campaigns seen around the world.

Stills and film, one set
Scott shoots stills and film together, so the hero image and the moving content come from the same set, the same crew and the same day. He's also directed shorts and TV production, and he builds custom set-ups for time-lapse and stop-motion food and drink films.
A team around him
A good food shoot is a team job. Scott works with a producer, stylists, home economists, prop houses, set builders, DOPs, retouchers and digital techs, and he's done five countries in a week, so a tight deadline doesn't worry him. He shoots from studios in London and Leicester, with Broncolor lighting and 4K video, and he'll hire a studio near you if that makes the day easier. There's also a ragdoll cat called Moggy who turns up fairly often and loves everyone.
