I'm Scott, a product photographer in London, and I'm represented by Agent-At-Large. I make bold, graphic images of products. They need to stop someone scrolling, and they also need to hold up at billboard size.
Nearly all of it is still life, built, lit and shot in the studio so nothing is left to chance. I like strong colour, clean shapes and a bit of attitude. I'd rather a picture had a point of view than sat quietly in the corner of a web page.
Still life with a point of view
A product photo has two jobs. It has to show the thing clearly, and it has to make you feel something about it. Plenty of people can do the first. The second comes down to light, colour, props and angle, which is where I spend most of my time.
The studio
I shoot with high-resolution stills cameras, 4K video and Broncolor lighting. The studio has a full grip package and a big store of props and backgrounds, so we can build a set from scratch rather than make do with what's on the shelf. I also shoot from studios in London and Leicester, or somewhere close to you if that makes your day easier.
Because I shoot stills and film, I can also build custom set-ups for time-lapse and stop-motion. If you want a hero image and a short film of the same product, we can do both in one day, with the same set and the same crew.
What I've shot
Everything from a start-up's first product to global rebrand campaigns. Recent clients include Kenvue (Calpol, Listerine and Neutrogena), Nutri Bullet, Thermapen, Tether Tools and Premier Drums.
Working with brands and agencies
I work directly with brands, and with agencies and designers who already have the idea worked out. I can shoot to a tight layout or start from a rough thought and build it up with you. I have a good team of producers, stylists, set builders, retouchers and digital techs, so a bigger job doesn't feel any harder to run.
