Comedy portrait photographer in London

I'm Scott, a comedy portrait photographer in London, and I'm represented by Agent-At-Large. I make portraits that get a laugh and still look like proper advertising. My commercial work is a mix of social observation and quirky, bold, graphic images, often with a bit of a pop art feel. The jokes come from people and situations everyone recognises, then pushed a few steps further than you'd expect.

Funny has to be believable

A comedy portrait works because of the casting, the expression, the props and the timing, and I spend as long on those as I do on the lighting. Get them right and people stop scrolling. Get them wrong and it's just someone pulling a face. I'd rather do a lot of planning than hope it comes together on the day.

Portraits for brands and agencies

I work with brands and agencies who want some personality in their campaigns. That might be one hero image, a series of characters or a set of portraits that carries a whole campaign. I can work from a finished brief or help you build an idea from a rough one.

On the day

I shoot in my studio and on location, in London, Leicester or wherever the job needs. I can cast, or work with your casting. I'm just as happy slotting in alongside your creative team as running the whole shoot myself. Everything is delivered retouched and ready for print, digital and social.
